Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information CalculateCredit.com ("we", "us", or "the Site") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We designed the Site so that the most sensitive information - your financial numbers - never has to leave your device.
1. The short version
- Your financial inputs are never sent to us. Every balance, interest rate, credit limit, and payment you type into our calculators is processed entirely in your browser. We do not receive, store, or share those numbers.
- Small preferences (your light/dark theme and currency choice) are saved in your browser's local storage so the Site remembers them. They stay on your device.
- Like most websites, we may use analytics and advertising services (including Google AdSense) that set cookies to measure traffic and serve ads. You can control these through your browser and the opt-out links below.
2. Information we do not collect
The Site does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, government identifiers, or any financial account details. The calculator inputs you enter are used only for the on-page math, are never transmitted to our servers, and disappear when you close or refresh the page.
3. Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically record standard technical data, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used in aggregate to understand how the Site is used, keep it secure, and improve it. It is not used to personally identify you.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use the following categories of browser storage:
- Preference storage (first-party): your theme (light/dark) and selected currency are stored in local storage keys on your device so the Site loads with your settings. These contain no personal or financial information.
- Analytics cookies: if analytics are enabled, they help us count visits and understand which tools are most useful.
- Advertising cookies (third-party): described in the next section.
You can delete or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. The calculators work fully even with cookies blocked.
5. Advertising - Google AdSense
We display advertisements served by Google AdSense to keep the Site free. Google and its partners use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a broader set of third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices.
Depending on your region, you may be shown a consent message before advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time.
6. Legal bases and your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we process the limited technical data described above on the basis of legitimate interest (operating and securing a free website) or your consent (for personalized advertising). You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data concerning you, the right to object, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Because we do not hold accounts or store your calculator inputs, in most cases there is no personal data on our side to retrieve or delete - advertising and analytics data is held by the respective providers, and their opt-out tools above are the fastest route.
7. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of personalized advertising, use the Google Ads Settings link in Section 5.
8. Children's privacy
The Site is a general-audience financial education tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Data security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Because your calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser and never transmitted, the most sensitive data involved in using the Site never crosses the network at all.
10. Third-party links
Pages on the Site may link to external websites (for example, opt-out tools or educational resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
